Terms of Service

Last updated [DATE] · Version 1.0

These terms govern your use of the Kavomi app (“Kavomi”, “the app”, “we”, “us”), published by [YOUR LEGAL NAME OR BUSINESS NAME]. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

1. Who can use Kavomi

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the app. If you’re using it on behalf of someone under that age, you confirm you have the right to do so.

2. What Kavomi is

Kavomi is a brew timer and coffee journal. It helps you time brews, log recipes and tasting notes, keep a shelf of beans, and (optionally) find nearby cafes. Today it runs fully offline — your data is stored on your device. Optional account-based syncing and a shared cafe database are planned; when available, they’ll be covered by an updated version of these terms, which you’ll be asked to accept separately.

3. License to use the app

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Kavomi on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not:

4. Your content

Recipes, journal entries, photos, and notes you create in the app are yours. Since this data stays on your device today, you’re responsible for backing it up (via the app’s export feature) if you want to preserve or move it.

If you import a backup file or a shared recipe from someone else, you’re responsible for making sure you have the right to use that content.

Once a shared cafe database exists, any cafe information you contribute may be visible to other users; we’ll cover moderation and content standards for that in an updated version of these terms before the feature launches.

5. Third-party services

Kavomi uses:

See our Privacy Policy for details on what’s shared with each.

6. Disclaimers

Kavomi provides brewing guidance, timers, and tracking as a convenience — it is not professional advice (nutritional, medical, or otherwise). Caffeine content, extraction guidance, and similar figures are estimates.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, [YOUR LEGAL NAME OR BUSINESS NAME] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data that was not backed up via the export feature. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate access to any server-side services (analytics, and in future, accounts) for violations of these terms. Once accounts exist, you’ll be able to delete your account and associated server-side data; see the Privacy Policy for details.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app evolves, especially before launching accounts or the shared cafe database. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, show an in-app notice.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. [CONFIRM VENUE/DISPUTE RESOLUTION APPROACH WITH LOCAL COUNSEL.]
